You are part of me now. You touched me with your kindness and love. So enchanted. Your soft lips are kind. Your eyes glow with life. I'm glad you touched me, you're part of me now.

Don't ask so much what the world needs. Go out and do what makes you come alive, because what the world needs most are people who have come alive. Howard Thurman

An old Cherokee chief was teaching his grandson about life...
"A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy. "It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves."
"One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, self-doubt, and ego."
"The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith."
"This same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"
The old chief simply replied, "The one you feed."

Oh Great Spirit, whose Voice I hear in the winds, And whose Breath gives Life to all the World, please hear me... I come to You as one of Your many children; I am small and weak. I seek Your strength and wisdom. May I learn to walk in beauty, may my eyes ever behold the red and purple sunset. Make my hands respect the things You have made, And my ears sharp to hear Your voice. Make me wise so that I may understand the lessons You have taught Your children. Let me learn the lessons You have hidden in every leaf and rock. I seek strength, not to be greater than my sisters and brothers, but to fight my greatest enemy - myself. Make me always ready to come to You with a pure heart and straight eyes - so that when this life fades, as the sunset fades, my spirit may come to You without shame. Chief Yellow Lark, Lakota Sioux, 1887
